WHICH PROBLEM ARE YOU HAVING?

I’m not getting any power to my Light Kit

There are a number of reasons this may be happening, so let's run through the check list and see what we can find!

  1. Check that your factory dome light is functional before installing the kit. If your factory light is acting up, there's a good chance that our kit will act the same
  2. Make sure your factory dome light is screwed/ plugged in properly. Be sure that all the pins internally are connecting as they should. Additionally if your dome light requires screws, make sure they are installed, as some vehicles require the screws to act as grounds to complete the circuit.
  3. Check the 5 amp glass fuse that powers the Light Kit (can be found near the power hookup in a black, screw on, enclosure.
  4. Check your factory fuses that are used to power the factory dome light (these can commonly be found either under your dash or under your hood).
  5. Try installing your power hookup piece in the opposite orientation, sometimes all it needs is a quick polarity switch.
  6. Make sure your factory dome light switch is on the “on” position, sometimes the “door” position has a built in timer with some vehicles and automatically shuts itself off over time.

If you have a Dual Color Light Kit, make sure your 3 way switch plugs are securely connected in the correct order. Additionally, make sure the 3 way switch is on either position 1 or 2  

(Although these seem obvious, they are the most common troubleshooting solution)

One of my led strips isn't turning on at all

Make sure your LED strips are plugged in properly. Be sure that all the pins, internally, are connecting as they should. 

We have seen them get bent to the side in the past, so just be sure they are staying straight when connecting to the male plug from the harness.

My Light Kit will turn off automatically while using it

Some of the newer vehicles have a built in timer and will automatically shut off the dome light to conserve your battery.

To combat this, you can either shut the door and reopen it, or route the light kit to an alternate source of power, 

We haven't quite figured out a better solution yet, however we are currently  looking into finding one. If you find one feel free to let us know!

Part of my harness/ connectors seems to have physical damage

My LED Strips are not sticking to my vehicle

Regardless of the meticulous quality check process, sometimes defects do happen in the manufacturing industry. There must be some kind of solvent or grease that is in the pores of the interior plastic which is not allowing for proper adhesion. 

I would recommend wiping down the mounting surface (wax on ,wax off) with some isopropyl alcohol and then reapplying some 3m double sided tape to the LED strip. Finally, reheat the LED strip, provide adequate pressure when reinstalling the LED strip and you should be golden!
