WHICH PROBLEM ARE YOU HAVING?

I’m not getting any power to my Power Panel

There are a number of reasons this may be happening, so let's run through the check list and see what we can find!

  1. Check that your factory cigarette lighter plug is functional before installing the kit. If your factory plug is acting up, there's a good chance that our kit will act the same
  2. Make sure your Power Panel is plugged in properly to the factory plug. Be sure that all the pins are connecting as they should.

We have seen the internal terminals get bent to the side and not contact correctly within the factory plug on the vehicle.

  1. Check the 5 amp glass fuse that powers the Power Panel (this can be found on the backside of the Power Panel on the red wire in a black, screw on, enclosure.
  2. Check your factory fuses that are used to power the factory cigarette lighter (these can commonly be found either under your dash or under your hood).
  3. Make sure the female terminals on the backside of the Power Panel have a solid connection. Sometimes the connections can loosen up and not have a good connection with the male terminals on the backside of the power sockets.

To fix this, you can very simply tighten the female terminals by gently squeezing them with some pliers, (sometimes even by hand), to get a more snug connection

Why is my radio or other accessories on full time after installing the relay jumper?

PURPOSE

Essentially the purpose of the Relay Jumper is to take the relay that powers your factory front and rear cigarette lighters with a Key-On 12v power source, and convert it to being a constant 12v power source.

Through removing the relay and replacing it with our relay jumper, you are able to convert your once Key-On power to constant 12v, to supply power regardless of the vehicle being on or not.

This is not a concern because our Power Panels have a built in on/ off switch to eliminate any power draw when not in use.

BACK TO THE MAIN QUESTION

If the Relay Jumper is installed incorrectly you may have some various side effects, so make sure to follow the install video exactly.

Our kit is designed to seamlessly work with factory wiring without any problems. If you have any aftermarket wiring that may draw power from the same factory wiring as the Power Panel, you may find some various side effects as well.

THE SOLUTION

You can either change your aftermarket wiring to use a different source OR change your Power Panel wiring to use a different power source.

Many customers will either choose to run the Panel Panel from our Fuse Tap Harness (Insert Link) or Battery Tap Harness (Insert Link) to get the panel on its own independent wiring
